This unit was identifying solutions. We had to identify solutions by adding another liquid or solid. Also we can identify solutions by filter them, burning them or we can put something like litmus paper or Ph paper. To prepare for the test, in this unit we had to memorize a lot of things. We had to memorize ammonium +H20, calcium chloride +H20, calcium carbonate +vinegar and sodium carbonate +vinegar and many other reactions. They were very hard to memorize, but soon it became easier.
Before test, I was kind of nervous because I didn’t prepare for test very well. So I wasn’t sure what my partner and I had to do. Bu during the test my feeling was better because the test was very fun. However when we realized we were doing wrong, my head was confused and I didn’t know what to do. So I was kind of annoyed by myself. Also when I finished the test, I was kind of afraid that my score might be very low.
The most exciting part of the test was when I put some vinegar in some solutions and it reacted. It was very interesting because it reacted with some bubbles and eruption. So I felt like if I was a real scientist.
The most difficult part of the test was when I and my partner ruined our work. I was very confused and didn’t know what to do. Also it would take a long time to redo it because we had to do it all over again. So it was really difficult part. The worst but when we made mistake for second time. We didn’t memorize the whole thing and forgot some, so we had to guess which was which.
To improve my performance, I think all I have to do is teamwork and memorize and understand. Because we made a same mistake for 3 times because there wasn’t enough teamwork and I didn’t study very much. Also I had to understand the test so that I will know what to do if we made a mistake. So next time, I think I have to memorize what I have learned and understand the task and have enough teamwork.

Reflection

Before we had a test, we had time to have trials. We had 3 trials. First one was totally failed because there was too much banana. Second one was also fail because it was too chocolaty and there was too much banana. The third one was successful because we added more blueberries to rid the strong taste of banana. Before we had the test, I was kind of nervous because I thought we might fail. During we were having test, I was excited because it was fun and we got a chance to taste other group’s food and drink. After we had a test, I was very nervous. Especially when our teacher was telling us the scores. However after I knew the score, I was half happy and half sad, because I didn’t fail. However we were second to the last. The most exciting part of our test was, tasting other groups’ food and drink. Because to can compare their drinks and foods from ours. And we can eat and drink many different kinds of foods and drinks. However the most difficult part of our test was changing the taste of our drink. First we had to rid the strong taste of banana. Then chocolate. It was hard because we didn’t know what can make the taste go away. Also if we add anything, it can ruin our drink. So we had to be careful. To improve our performance, I think our drink would be better if we didn’t add banana. Because we had hard time ridding the taste of it. Also the taste was so strong that there was not taste of coconut and ice cream. We decided to make sizy shake when we searched about healthy drinks for kids and mixed fruit drinks. Our challenge was ridding the strong taste of banana. The taste of banana rid the taste of blueberry and coconut and ice cream. So we had to add more sugar and more ice cream and more blue berries. The most exciting part of the project was creating our own drinks. Because we added many fruits and other ingredients. It was fun tasting it and blending them. Also we tasted other groups’ drinks and foods so it was so much fun during the project. I helped them by preparing materials while other team members are working on the drink and I cleaned up the table while other team members are preparing. I think if we had more team work, we could have made the drink faster and better so that we can have more trials to make it. Also if we had more ingredients such as more fruits such as strawberries or grapes or more other juice such as grape juice or orange juice, we could have made it nicer and better. In this project I learned teamwork. I learn that if we do teamwork, we can make something better and nicer or even faster. So next time if we do this kind of project, I think I should do teamwork. Also I learned many things about making drinks. For example, how to rid a strong taste of something, or how to match the drink to the food.
